Getting ready to fit the brick with a solar panel and do some distance testing.  It should have an extraordinarily long range.  I'm anxious to start some microcruising adventures this summer.  After testing I'm planning to either take her down the Ohio river south, or down the ICW south.  I hope to do some distance testing this weekend.  Pictures coming soon!!  Robb

Hello Robb,

Excited? Have you built any other boats? Makes no odds, each first launch and then subsequent exploring is as exciting as each other. I love "Ditch-Crawling". Going places that's impossible in deeper draught boats.

I have a variety of projects at the moment and nothing seems to be moving forward.

I am the organizer of the Around in Ten Challenge. Originally a race around the world in 10ft microyachts but has since become peoples own challenges in a wider range of craft types and sizes. http://www.aroundinten.com

Looking forward to seeing new pics from you and your adventures.

Bye for now

Hi....yeah I've built alot of boats over the years.  I've been building since I was about 16 and I'm now 45.  The brick that I built last summer is really turning out to be one of the most fun boats I've ever built.  I've never seen anything so small that would take rough water or carry such a heavy load.  I put a solar panel on it today.  I'll be going out in it again in the next 2 or 3 days.  Robb

Howdy,

New to this group but not to boat building.  I currently sail a PDRacer and am building a Michalak Jewelbox Jr. which I hope to finish in the next couple of months.

Rob,
you need to join the group at the Texas 200.  I know several PDRacers are going to make that trip again this year.

Hi.....thanks for the heads up.....I'm probably going to be too busy trying to coordinate our challenge event here in Ohio.....I'm still looking for people to help get it organized.  Robb

I watched the videos, wondering where you got your solar panel. That looks like a pretty tight setup.

Hi.....I don't remember where I got them but it was from a solar panel dealer......be careful buying panels online.  Some are damages or old.....Robb
